Peer Led Day Group Updates

Since February 2025, we have been delighted to resume running our second day at the Kentish Town Community Centre. This new space feels like a home for us and we cannot thank the supportive and welcoming staff there enough.

Our Peer-Led Day continues to empower individuals with lived experience to take the lead in our community practice, promoting empathy and understanding through shared creativity and purpose. The Peer-Led Day group offers ongoing support in honouring lived experiences and stages of healing while facilitating social integration and skills development.

This project is a significant step forward in supporting our studio members, facilitating the transition from a long-term art therapeutic support group to a peer-led group that fosters empowerment, autonomy and leadership, shedding light and hope to create a new sense of being.

‘I’m learning how to communicate more effectively, develop my skills, improve my patience, build trust, and support others.’

‘I’m building my confidence so one day I can offer a creative workshop to others.’

‘I’m preparing refreshments for the group before the sessions start. I’m better at sharing my experiences and skills with others – I really love it and feel enthusiastic about my future.’

We look forward to sharing more updates on its developments and the positive impact on our studio members, who are rebuilding their lives.
