We Have Moved to Kentish Town

In January 2025, we moved to our new home at the Kentish Town Community Centre!

We‘ve been so busy packing and settling in that we haven’t had a chance to share the news until now. As many of you know, Islington Art Factory, which had been our home since 2014, sadly closed its doors in the summer of 2024 after over 40 wonderful years of serving the community. We’re incredibly grateful for all the amazing memories we created there.

This move was tough and it took us a while to find the right place for a group of our size. We needed a space that would inspire connection and creativity, which are essential to supporting our studio members’ journeys of recovery.

Now that we’re all settled in, we love our new space!

It has a lovely, large window, something we’ve always dreamed of, plus a charming little garden. The new home reflects the artwork of our studio members and is overflowing with motivation and hope for the future. The friendly staff at KTCC have been so welcoming, allowing us to cover the walls with our artists’ creations, which have received a fantastic amount of positive feedback. It fills us with joy to see our community’s creativity celebrated in this way.

We’re also thrilled to have access to a kitchen, where we can prepare meals and give members the chance to cook or warm up food whenever they need. We feel truly fortunate to have discovered this little gem in London, which has given us a sense of stability, community and new ways of being that we are eager to explore.
