Refugee Week 2025 – Community as a Superpower

New Art Studio has been involved in several events as part of the 2025 Refugee Week. Thanks to everyone who has been involved and who dropped in to visit – it has been a busy, lively and very inspiring week.
On 18th June, we held an Open Studio Day in Kentish Town – a tranquil and relaxed time making and showing art. It truly brought us joy to share the incredible skills of our artists and to inspire you all to unleash your own creativity.
We also had the privilege of attending a screening at the Maritime Museum, where one of our artists’ artworks is part of their private collection. It was deeply moving to be part of their Refugee Week screening and to see how other artists channel their creativity into meaningful stories that resonate with others and spread a spirit of connection and inspiration.
And finally, we took part in the market organised by the Exchange in North Paddington on the 21st. This was a wonderful opportunity for us to engage with other communities and share more about who we are and what we do. Thanks also to Usman from Haven Coffee for providing delicious free coffee and introducing us to the beautiful Exchange community, which is a friendly and warm place to meet others, socialise and be creative.
Thanks again to everyone!
